Best Verified GLP-1 Clinics Near the Houston Galleria (2026)
Two clinics in the Galleria–Greenway–Tanglewood corridor pass PostDose's four-point standard today. What we confirmed about each prescriber, what the NPI registry does and doesn't show, and what to ask before you book.
People searching for a GLP-1 clinic “near the Galleria” usually mean a wide strip of west-central Houston: Uptown, Tanglewood, Greenway Plaza and Upper Kirby. This page covers that corridor, and it lists only clinics that currently hold a verified status in our directory. It also says plainly what we could and could not confirm about each one.
For context, PostDose evaluated 80 GLP-1 and peptide clinics across the Houston metro and excluded 41 of them in the initial sweep. Our four-point standard asks for a named prescriber active in the federal NPI registry, transparent medication sourcing, a real address, and a public rating of 4.5 stars or higher. Two clinics in this corridor clear it today. Others we looked at remain pending and are not listed.
Lifelong Weight Loss, Dr. Rupal Mathur, MD (Greenway / Weslayan)
Lifelong Weight Loss is an internal-medicine practice at 3100 Weslayan St, Suite 300, Houston 77027, an address shown on its own site (read 2026-10-09). Dr. Mathur is listed in the CMS NPI registry as active (NPI 1154683969), with a practice location at that same Weslayan address and a Texas internal-medicine license on file. We checked this directly against the registry API on 2026-10-09.
Its semaglutide page is titled by brand, “Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus,” and its tirzepatide program is described under the Mounjaro and Zepbound names, rather than as a generic “weight-loss injection.” Rating: 4.7 stars from 48 reviews. That is a smaller sample than the larger chains, so treat it as a signal rather than proof.
Weslayan is east of the Galleria proper. We include it because it sits in the same Greenway/Uptown corridor many patients search as “Galleria area.”
NeuMed Modern Urgent Care (Tanglewood / Galleria and Montrose)
NeuMed is a five-clinic Houston urgent-care and wellness chain. Its Tanglewood/Galleria clinic is at 5706 San Felipe St, Houston 77057 (per its own site, 2026-10-09). Its medical weight loss page describes tirzepatide (Zepbound, Mounjaro) and semaglutide (Wegovy, Ozempic) by brand name. The chain’s rating is 4.8 stars from 205 ratings site-wide.
Two things you should know, because they are exactly what a verified badge can hide:
- The prescriber we verified works at the Montrose clinic, not Tanglewood. Victoria Bhagat, FNP, is active in the NPI registry (NPI 1093214058) with a practice location on Bomar St in the 77006 ZIP code, which is NeuMed’s Montrose site. We did not confirm who prescribes at San Felipe. Ask the Tanglewood clinic who will write your prescription, and check that name yourself.
- Brand is not guaranteed. The page says brand availability and formulation depend on your plan and pharmacy, and that NeuMed “does not guarantee a specific compounded product.” That wording means a compounded version can be part of the picture. Ask before you pay.
What to ask any clinic
- Which drug, specifically? Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic and Mounjaro are FDA-approved products. “Semaglutide” or “tirzepatide” on a menu can mean an approved brand or a compounded version. The FDA states that compounded and other unapproved versions have not been reviewed for safety, effectiveness and quality; see FDA’s Concerns with Unapproved GLP-1 Drugs Used for Weight Loss (content dated 2026-10-01).
- Who is the prescriber, and what is their NPI? Look them up in the NPI registry. Our walkthrough on verifying the prescriber and pharmacy shows how.
- If a compounded option is offered, which pharmacy prepares it? See our guide to brand versus compounded GLP-1s.
If a clinic can’t answer these plainly, that is the same red flag behind most of our 41 exclusions.
How this page stays honest
A verified status is a snapshot, not a permanent seal. We have removed clinics after re-checks before (see our Katy page), and if either clinic above changes what it sells, this page changes with it. For the wider metro view, see our Houston-wide list, and for the neighborhood next door, Houston Heights.
